The 2022 Highland Xtreme TSD Car Rally is designed for drivers of all skill levels, from the most experienced to the most inexperienced. An epic 700-kilometer drive through the winter wonderland of Indore's Off-Road Trails and picturesque scenery is what can be expected here. To put the teams' navigation and driving skills to the test, we won't reveal our route until the morning of February 17th, 2022. If you have any questions or need assistance at any point during the course, our knowledgeable support staff will be on hand to answer your calls and provide you with on-site assistance with route maps.

Here are a few key points to help you understand what a TSD rally is all about:

Time-Speed- Distance – In a rally, the Driver and Co-Driver are put through a series of tests designed to measure their coordination and mental agility as well as their ability to follow a set of instructions that closely monitor their performance on a set course. The teams are given a Road Book to help them navigate the course.

A TSD rally's navigation is an essential part of the event. In order to get to the finish line, the teams must use the Book provided. Speed limits may be posted at various points along the route, and participants are expected to follow them rigorously. There are hidden checkpoints along the route that keep track of your time and speed in order to figure out your pace. A penalty point system is in place. Speeding tickets are worth two times as much as those for exceeding the posted limits. The crew keeps a close eye on the route in order to arrive at the best possible time. Matching the ideal time reduces the penalties.

No matter which direction your nose points, you must follow it to arrive at the instruction pointer.

According to an old adage, a roadbook is always right. Regardless of the odometer, you are using, you will need to adjust your drift figures to the roadbook figures. It's also important to have a well-functioning clock.

It is possible to receive guidance on the required speed at the start of the rally or at any of its checkpoints in between. Under Indian TSD rules, the average speed must not exceed 45 kilometers per hour.

In theory, this may seem simple, but in practice, it's a completely different challenge. In order to have a good time, we're hoping for a foggy sky to add a bit of excitement to the event. The above rules and explanation may seem daunting, but don't worry, an adventure awaits you on the Trails of Indore!
